2009 Winter Games: Volunteer at Volleyball

Potential Volunteer Assignments:
Scorekeeper: Records points and statistics for each game. Records number of fouls committed by each player and number of time-outs called by each team. Records substitutions and sends in substitutes at the appropriate break in play. Turns over score sheets to the head scorekeeper at the end of each game.
Line-caller: Watch the court lines to see if the ball was in or out of bounds.
Ball shagger: Stands behind the baseline and at the corner of each court and retrieves balls that are out of play/off the court. Collects balls after pre-game and half-time warm up periods.
Awards Volunteer: Responsible for lining up athletes in correct awards order. Prepares awards for distribution.
Souvenir Volunteer: Assists at the souvenirs stand with the sale of merchandise.
Meals crew - Assisting the team of cookers with Friday or Saturday's lunch - food prep and serving.
Attire: Please dress for comfort and mobility. Wear comfortable shoes - you will be on your feet most of the time.
Parking: General parking is limited available at Austin Sports Center, so be prepared to park across the street at St. Edward's University.
For security purposes, please make sure to bring a current photo ID with you to the volunteer check-in area.
